You can set your Facebook profile to private so that only the people you want can view it.

This is a way to keep someone from finding to much out about you or your children. Like we have discussed before it is a good idea for the parent to have a Myspace account and become friends with your child and their friends.

1)Login as usual so that your profile/homepage is displayed.
2)Look at the top blue bar, on the far right it says -Profile-Account-Privacy-Logout
3)Click on 'Privacy'
4)The first option is 'Profile', 'Edit Settings' ->click on edit settings
5) The options for all the sections of your page are here, to make it so that only your friends can see it; under 'Profile' use the drop down box and choose 'Only my Friends'
6) Set the other options as you want them
7) Scroll to the bottom of the page and click 'SAVE'

It now sends you back to the privacy options page,
1) scroll down to 'Poke Message and Friends Requests' -->click on Edit Settings
2) On this page you check off what you want strangers to see when they click on your name during a search.
3) When you're done checking boxes, click 'SAVE'

Continue on through the other options on the Privacy page, or go back to your main profile by clicking 'Profile' on the top blue bar (far left).
